5 THINGS TO DO INSTEAD OF WALLOWING IN YOUR LONELINESS THIS VALENTINES DAY
It's that time of year again. The time when pink and red hearts are taking up every window display, and every convenient store aisle is lined with teddy bears that you call stupid and ugly, while deep down you wish you were the one receiving that somewhat creepy heart eyed frog.
Don't worry, you're not the only one. Everyone has felt this overwhelming notion of loneliness at one time or another. But don't let it stop you from enjoying the holiday.
Here are 6 things you can do this Valentines day instead of sitting at home sobbing in your bed while calling your mom asking her why boys don't like you.
1. Make plans with friends.
Call up your fellow single ladies and go out for some good food and dranky dranks. Hit the town after if you're feeling it.
2. Do something active.
In the words of Elle Woods, "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy." It'll make you feel good about yourself, too!
3. Have an at-home spa night.
Find a face mask recipe off Pinterest. Take a bubble bath. Do your nails. Pluck your eyebrows. Drink some wine. Pamper yo'self, you deserve it.
4. Plan a trip.
Call up a friend that lives in another city and start planning a visit to go see them. Call up your friends and tell them it's time to put together a girls beach weekend. Your uncommitted and untied, the world is your oyster!
5. Treat yo'self!
Who says the only way to get presents is by waiting around for something to give one to you. Buy yourself something pretty. Like a Nash hat. ;)
